Our independent kids club is part of  Capoeira Communities' arts outreach programme. We run this as a drop-in class and have space for new members.

We aim to teach your child/ren Capoeira culture, music and physical skills; such as kicks, dodges, floor and standing movements, cartwheels and handstand skills and the necessary physical conditioning needed for such things. We aim for your child to build co-ordination, flexibility, knowledge, rhythm and strength through repetition using a variety of methods such as games, copying, pair-work and Q & A etc

Health and safety

Capoeira at times requires high energy output; therefore it is essential that instructors are aware of any medical conditions that may affect your child.

If your child has any need for special consideration in a learning capacity, please advise us so that their individual needs can be met during sessions.

Please ensure that your child is wearing appropriate clothing for training. For example, loose fitting trousers, t-shirt, bare feet or rubber soled plimsolls. Tights, socks, restrictive or heavily embellished clothing are potentially hazardous. Skirts are not appropriate.prepayment

Capoeira requires a certain level of patience and interest from children to be meaningful and beneficial. Therefore we would ask parents/carers to remain on site for the first two sessions whilst the instructors assess the child’s capacity and/or interest. It may be that instructors feel that your child’s induction is premature and it is recommended that they restart at a later stage in their development.

All children are advised to bring water to the session.

Payment

A fee of £3.50 per child per class is charged at the beginning of the session together with the signing of the register. Failure to pay for two consecutive sessions will mean the child cannot take part until payment received. You can pay on the day or use a facility using Paypal below.

Now you can pay for uniforms and kids classes with an automatic subscription with our Paypal link.
Just  click the subscribe button. You will be taken to the Paypal site. If you need to settle accounts with us, i.e. paying for uniforms or events in instalments you can also use this facility.  You can alter the amount you need to pay from the PayPal page you are directed to.  ALWAYS USE YOUR CHILD'S NAME AND GROUP LOCATION AS A REFERENCE!

Please note that subscription payments will be paid automatically until you contact us via email. We will refund you if your child cannot attend due to injury or similar conditions, there wil be no refunds due to simple lack of attendance.

Please bear in mind that excess money recieved by Capocoms in this manner supports the group, as it only covers its costs all year round. We hope you agree that the class fee of £3.50 is very low for a highly skilled activity class.
